UK University leads research into out of body experiences
The Selective Attention and Awareness Laboratory (SAAL) at the Department of Psychology of the University of Birmingham is initiating research into out of body experiences. According to the university, these phenomena affect approximately 20% of the population, are widely reported and yet have no scientific explanation. Head of the laboratory, Dr. Jason Braithwaite, has this to say about his research:
‘Exploding UFO’ De-Bunked
On December, 20th, 2012, amateur astronomer Elijah Prychodzko was gazing into the sky in Sacramento, California when a sudden flash of light seen through his telescope caught his attention.
Prychodzko placed his smartphone’s camera lens against the eyepiece of his telescope and recorded what seemed to be a disc exploding in the sky.
The story made some headlines in the local news and online earlier this year but despite the amazing video evidence, this UFO may be a little more down to Earth…
Monolith On Mars?
When I say “monolith” you may think of the monoliths that featured in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
In that ground breaking film, the monoliths were part of an experiment by an alien race to see how far a race could evolve after the aliens introduced the idea of tools to our ape like ancestors and brought a giant leap forward into the evolution of life on the planet Earth.
There was a monolith buried on the moon in the film and when it was discovered four million years after it was placed there, it contacted the aliens that built it to let them know that the Humans had gone from apes using bone derived weapons used to hunt to mastering space exploration.
Now scientists from the University of Arizona have found what appears to be a similar looking object on the surface of the planet Mars.
Is this a photographic illusion or something that proves life may imitate fiction?
UFO Fragment Found In Russia?
A fragment of a dome like object was discovered in a forest near Siberia.
Residents from that area were told to move the 440 pound object to the village to wait for it to be collected by the government.
The object, which has been deemed NOT to be radioactive and made at least partially of Titanium, is now under armed police guard.
Roscosmos, the Russian Federal Space Agency, stated that:
“The object found is not related to space technology. A final conclusion can be made after a detailed study of the object by experts,”
“You can see inside it, all is open, it’s empty, no danger here. We were asked to take and store it. We brought it here. And now we are going to wait until they come to take it if they need it,”

An article in The Guardian caught my eye today and I felt it had relevance to this blog for a number of reasons. First of all, the title, Precognition studies and the curse of the failed replications, definitely hinted at a link to the spirit world and the accompanying photograph of a spiritualist gazing into a crystal ball only added to that appearance. Secondly, the main meat of the article touched on something very close to my heart with regards to parapsychology and any research into the spirit world – the importance of good science.
‘Ghost Dragon’ Found In China
It has sat in the earth for 120 million years and when it was alive it had a wing span of 13 to 16 feet and is a part of the ancient Pterosaurs family of reptiles.
This creature is the Guidraco venator, which when translated from Chinese means “ghost dragon hunter” and it is one of the most amazing fossil finds in recent times.
