Christopher Garetano, award winning film maker and the man behind the documentary  Montauk Chronicles, is seeking crowd sourced funds for another project, with will delve into the mystery of the creature known as Bigfoot.

The film, which went into production in October of 2015 and is reported to be at least twenty-five percent complete, will feature accounts of encounters with Bigfoot ranging from former United States President Teddy Roosevelt‘s account of a Bigfoot sighting from his 1893 book The Wilderness Hunter and the infamous ‘Patterson Film.’

Placing a great deal of the film’s content in the past history of the creature seems to be something Garetano is embracing:

“There’s a very rich history and that’s what I want to tell with this film. We’re going to do a lot of period pieces…I want to make the audience feel what [they] felt.”

Noting that Montauk Chronicles was done with a very small budget, Garetano is turning to the public to ensure Bigfoot is made with a much higher standard of quality.

By clicking on this Indiegogo link, you can donate to help the film get completed and also receive perks ranging from getting ‘Bigfoot’s Blessing’ to a hard cover coffee table book about the making of the film to getting a producer’s credit for a five-thousand dollar donation.

Garetano is looking to raise twenty-thousand dollars to complete this project.

The film itself looks interesting judging by the teaser trailer, which also shows off some behind the scenes stills and concept art:

Although there have been many books, TV shows and the like devoted to Bigfoot this would certainly be the first film length documentary on the subject matter and one that may be interesting viewing once it is completed.
