The Demon Of Facebook?

jc-2Browsing social media I could not help to notice that reports of clowns had died down and in its place for the newly minted year were demons.

Yes, demons.

Rather one particular demon (or angel if you think that is what this image is), which has been making the rounds across social media and tons of news outlets since it was posted on Facebook on Sunday.

So what the hell is it?

An angel?

A demon?

A hoax?

Well, one thing is for sure it is one odd image but there are other possibilities…

Ghostly Pics: Charlie Noonan’s Demon Woman

Charles noonan photo old woman ghost

When I first started this website, finding material to write about was pretty easy, especially when it came to this site’s most popular category, Ghostly Pics.

From years of casual paranormal reading, I had a mental list of the infamous purported paranormal photos I wanted to write about: The Toys R Us Ghost, The Tulip Staircase Ghosts, The strange figure captured on CCTV from Hampton Court and of course, the photograph this site has become most ‘famous’ for covering, The Amityville Ghost Boy.

However, one photograph, which happened to be one of the creepiest pics I had ever laid eyes on, eluded me. Not because it did not have a great story behind it or because the image was not available to me, but because News From The Spirit World has always taken a skeptical approach to the paranormal, albeit with a ‘I want to believe’ attitude as well.

Recently this photo appeared on Reddit’s /r/creepy sub, and it came with an explanation in the comments about a picture that still gives me the chills every time I look into the eyes of this almost demonic looking old woman.

It gets creepier when you realize this image may have been the last thing a man saw before he vanished off the face of the Earth.

There are countless ghost stories that come from England, which should not come as a surprise as the area is as rich in historical architecture as it is in ghost stories.

Proof is needed however for any story that borders on the unbelievable, like ghosts or other paranormal activity.Using that criteria the Tulip Staircase photograph may count among the very best evidence of ghosts and life after death.

Ghostly Pics: Ghost of Grandpa

When thinking of ghost pictures, we may think of the classics we have known since most of us were kids, like Lord Combermere’s Ghost or The Newby Church Monk.

However, there have also been some interesting pictures taken in the twentieth and twenty-first century as well, like the Brown Lady, the Amityville Ghost Boy or the ghost captured on film at Boot Hill Cemetery in Arizona.

One of the more remarkable examples of ghost photography from more modern times has been the case of the photograph taken by one Denise Russell.

Denise innocently took a photo of her grandmother at a picnic and eventually discovered that the picture also showed a figure that looked like her grandmother’s husband, who had passed away almost exactly twelve years ago from the day the photo at the picnic was taken.

Ghostly Pics: Amityville Ghost Boy

The Amityville Horror haunting is still a very popular subject both inside and outside the circle of paranormal researchers and enthusiasts.

It is the story of the Lutz family, who went through a nightmarish twenty-eight days inside the house at 108 Ocean Ave in 1975 has become known world wide. The house had previously been the residence of the DeFeo family about a year or so before the Lutz’s moved in, that is until twenty-three year old Ronald DeFeo murdered both his parents in their beds as well as his four siblings: Dawn (eighteen years old), Marc (twelve) and John Matthew (Nine).

Since the Lutz’s fled the ‘Horror House’, the story of what occurred to the family in less then a month’s time in Long Island has been turned into a book, made into a movie and spawned the name of a famous fictional horror movie franchise.

As we have noted on this blog before, the case also has many side trips and legends, some of which you have to read to believe. One of the most popular has to be the Amity ‘Ghost Boy’ photo, which has sparked debate in the Amityville and paranormal worlds for some time now.

It is also one creepy photo.
